Welcome to our website!  We'd like to play at your next church function or Music Festival. Contact us soon! We hope you'll take a moment to sign the guestbook and let us know you stopped by. You can also  find us on Facebook to keep up to date on all the Swiftwater news and events.

Swiftwater is made up of husband and wife, Al and Wretha Webb, along with Larry Strickland playing bass and Ray Tate playing guitar, mandolin, banjo, and fiddle. Their music is a fusion of bluegrass and gospel, with a bit of country sound... what some might call “traditional-plus.”  The beautiful voices and harmonies are what stand out in this group, as well as the music they choose to sing and play.

Al and Wretha have been singing and playing music together for many years. They live in northwest FL near a small town called Altha, FL. Al grew up in a musical home and has played music all his life, having been influenced greatly by his dad, W.T. Webb. Al and Wretha's 1st CD, Back in Time, is a collection of songs that include several duets and is known for the beautiful harmonies.

Larry Strickland from Bristol, FL, brings his bass licks and his wonderful personality to the band. Ray Tate, from Dothan, AL, brings his guitar, mandolin, banjo, and fiddle playing to the band. We think it's a great mix!

Welcome our new band member! - October 28, 2013

We'd like to say a big welcome to our newest band member, Ray Tate, from Dothan Alabama. Ray brings his wonderful guitar pickin' and his talent on the mandolin, banjo, and fiddle to the group. You can see why Swiftwater is excited! Photos coming!

and life moves on..... - September 17, 2013

NO down time between performances! When we're not performing and having music fun....Al and I are working hard to make a difference in children's lives. This year I'm teaching 3rd grade, and Al is working with special needs children in our school system. It keeps us busy, but never too busy to play music!

We had so much fun in Chattahoochee, FL, this past weekend as we performed downtown. Hanging with friends and fellow musicians is just TOO much fun!

Catoma Fire Department - August 31, 2013

Each year, the Catoma Fire Department in Montgomery, AL, hosts a fundraiser for muscular dystrophy, which is always a wonderful community event, where bands perform, friends gather, good food is shared....and all for a great cause. SWIFTWATER was honored to be a part of this event on August 24. Great job, Bobby and all the Fire Department families.
